A Hummingbird Legend…

I’ve seen this quote before on the back of a PAPYRUS card and loved it. I just saw it again today and thought I’d share it with you. There’s just something so peaceful and lovely about it.

“Legends say that hummingbirds float free of time, carrying our hopes for love, joy and celebration. Hummingbirds open our eyes to the wonder of the world and inspire us to open our hearts to loved ones and friends. Like a hummingbird, we aspire to hover and to savor each moment as it passes, embrace all that life has to offer and to celebrate the joy of everyday. The hummingbird’s delicate grace reminds us that life is rich, beauty is everywhere, every personal connection has meaning and that laughter is life’s sweetest creation.”  - PAPYRUS

I know they specialize in beautiful/creative greeting cards so you’d expect something unique from them, but the person who created this text deserves a happiness award.

Anyway, I did a quick search online and found many, many hummingbird legends and myths. They are very beautiful, mysterious and quick little birds that have apparently fascinated us for centuries.

Everyone chases happiness, not noticing that happiness is at their heels

- Bertolt Brecht

I am Grateful…

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy;  they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.

– Marcel Proust
